One of the most common phrases one hears nowadays is “There is no such thing as good or bad. Everything is relative.”
The most common explanation or rationalization glorifies Hitler for doing what he wanted to do and that “for him, it wasn’t wrong”.
In some cases the speaker is either naive or hasn’t really read about Hitler and the atrocities he committed.
Even more common is the situation when has just lost a debate and wants to offer a draw. If there is no good and no evil, then our discussion was worthless so you do not win.
I admit that some things which are good for someone might be evil for someone else and vice versa. However, if we do not agree that there are some inalienable rights, the right to the pursuit of happiness, the right to speak our mind and the right to seek justice, there is no point in discussing the topic further.
